Samer Mohamed
Chairperson
Mr. Mohamed has been with The Wonderful family of companies for many years and is currently the V.P. of Global Sourcing. In addition to his business acumen, Mr. Mohamed has significant experience with charter schools and charter governance. For the last eight years (six of which, as Board President) Mr. Mohamed has served on the Board of Almond Acres Charter Academy in San Luis Obispo County, where his kids attend school.

Ernie Unruh
Board Member & KCSOS Representative of the Board
Ernie Unruh is the Kern County Superintendent of Schools Representative to the Board of Directors and serves as a District Advisor to Kern County Charter Schools. Ernie has extensive experience working in education having previously served as the Superintendent of the Rio Bravo Greeley Union School District.

Ben Perlado
Board Member
Mr. Perlado is the Director of Transfer Pathways, International Student Services and Student Success Technology at Bakersfield College – who is a dual-enrollment partner to both Wonderful College Prep Academy – Lost Hills and Wonderful College Prep Academy (Delano) schools. Ben has been with Bakersfield College for four years and previously worked at California State University, Bakersfield as the Senior Director of Admissions for Graduate and International Admission and the Direct of Enrollment for Special Populations.

Daniela Barreto
Board Member
Ms. Barreto is the proud parent of three WCPA students in grades Kindergarten, 6th and 7th grade and a long-time resident and integral member of the Delano Community. Currently, she works as a Secretary for a local small business that provides her the flexibility to allow for her active involvement and participation in her children’s education at WCPA.

Gabriel Adame
Board Member
Mr. Adame is an active member of the Kern County community and serves as President and CEO of Youth 2 Leaders Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to help low-income and underrepresented students plan and pay for college. Previously, Mr. Adame served as Director of Marketing and Development for the United Way of Kern County

Vicky Casales
Board Member
Ms. Casales is the proud parent of a WCPA - Lost Hills students (Grade 11) and a long-time resident and integral member of the Lost Hills Community. Currently, she works at the Kern County Department of Human Services and has also been an active volunteer at WCPA, attending Parent Advisory Committee meetings, and a strong advocate for students.
